What’s your role at Artisan?
I'm a Recruitment Consultant in the fabulous Artisan Sydney office.
Where you are from?
Where you did you receive your education and training?
Western Sydney University (UWS).
Tell us about your previous work experience.
I travelled around Europe for three years bar tending and working retail jobs. From there I moved to Austin, Texas where I worked for an events management company called C3 Presents for four years, doing admin, graphic design and working on large scale festival and events. Then I became the Senior Graphic Designer at Goodwill Central Texas (one of the largest non-profits in America) and worked on re-branding their central Texas branch. I left Goodwill to relocate to Sydney, and that’s where I found Artisan.
Which areas do you specialise in?
Graphic Design (print and digital) and anything else that comes through the door as the Sydney office is quite small, but we’re expanding at the moment.
What job titles are you looking for the most?
Mid-Senior Graphic Designers in both print and digital in the agency sector.
What makes a candidate stand out to you?
Range in their portfolio and presentation of work.
What most do you love about recruitment?
Meeting and connecting with amazing people in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
A book, movies or music?
I love the films ‘Mortdecai’ and ‘Dogma’, and the book ‘Name of the Wind’.
What are you reading, listening to or watching currently?
At the moment I’m reading ‘Hare with Amber Eyes’ by Edmund de Waal.
What do you enjoy doing on the weekends?
Biking, running, going to the beach, hanging out with friends and family. Plus, anything that involves wine and delicious food. Oh and sleeping!
